METHDOLOGY
Our team of professional mediators will teach you whether a particular matter is suitable for mediation, how mediation works, how to make the best use of the mediation process and how to prepare effectively to settle the dispute.
Our approach promotes the inter-active practical learning of skills and techniques, with role play and one to one coaching, supported by our highly skilled and experienced mediators.
Our unique 5-step method is based on problem-solving, creative thinking, effective preparation, reflective analysis, rapport-building, questioning skills, responsive listening, negotiation techniques, decision-making, and communication strategies.
Our course runs for five consecutive days (40 hours). It is conducted by high quality, professional and experienced mediation trainers.
We use seminars, discussion, demonstrations and workshops with role play exercises. Each day you will practice new and learned skills in a workshop setting, as a mediator or as an involved party. You will receive individual coaching, personal feedback and reflection on a continual basis throughout the five days.

CERTIFICATION
Completion of this workshop leads to a certification of fundamental mediation training at the European Mediationcenter. After completing this course, students will be prepared to take the Advanced Professional Mediation Training, which ends with a one day mediation examination and professional mediation certification.
The European Mediationcenter is homologated by IMI, the International Mediation Institute to train and assess mediators to be accredited as international Business mediators. Mediators that have got our professional mediation certification and fullfill all requirements can apply to be accredited as international Business Mediators by IMI.
